Congressman Mfume Statement on ICE Arrests at Commodore John Rogers Elementary/Middle School

BALTIMORE, MD – Congressman Kweisi Mfume (MD-07) issued the following statement regarding the detention of a mother and father on the campus of Commodore John Rogers Elementary/Middle School:

"The latest incident of terrorizing children and families by ICE is right out of their ghoulish playbook," said Congressman Kweisi Mfume. "The arrests could have been made at any number of locations, but to deliberately dehumanize this family on school grounds shows that ICE still remains grossly insensitive to how its actions traumatize and affect innocent children and onlookers."
