Congressman Mfume Statement on Vote to Expel Congressman Santos from the U.S. House

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Kweisi Mfume (MD-07) issued the following statement regarding his vote to expel George Santos from the United States House of Representatives. 

"Representative George Santos’ admitted lies, multiple indictments, egregious behavior, and deliberate misrepresentations of the truth which gave rise to his fraudulent undertakings were a historic and shameful stain on the institution of the Congress and cannot, nor should not, be tolerated. Today’s vote for his expulsion was an overwhelming reflection of this sentiment," said Congressman Kweisi Mfume.
